‘Chevrons Locked: Stargate: SG-1’ Oral History Book Completed

Posted on

Definitely some relief on this side of the world as I was able to hand in the text for Chevrons Locked: The Unofficial Oral History of Stargate SG-1, The First 25 Years, which is a behind-the-scenes look at the first TV show based on the 1994 film Stargate. It’s written in the same oral history format I’ve become obsessed with over the past six years or so and it had to be turned around quickly in order to make its publication date of April of next year from Nacelle Books. The researching of this one was.a joy thanks to the cooperation of the show’s various writer/producers, especially Brad Wright, Robert C. Cooper, Jonathan Glassner, Joseph Mallozzi, Paul Mullie, Peter Deluiise and others.

As originally conceived, the book had a very strict word count of 100,000 and there was no episode guide. But as things have evolved, an episode guide was added with at least one quote for each episode produced, and the word count nearly doubled.
