‘Return to Pepperland’ Becomes a Beatles Track: Fab Song of the Day

Posted on

Let’s get one thing out of the way at the outset: even though this section of the blog is called “Fab Song of the Day,” the odds are pretty strong that it won’t be updated daily (I know myself too well). But you’ve got my promise that I’ll try. Now one thing I can say is that I’m a huge Beatles fan and as one, I enjoy coming across songs inspired by or sound like the Fab Four, and that’s only been intensified by recent AI-enhanced tracks (more on that another day). In any case, I wanted to kick things off with Paul McCartney’s “Return to Pepperland.”

An unfinished track from an intended 1987 album of the same name, it’s made the bootleg circuit and is a terrific number, but with some odd lyrics and, as noted, remained unfinished. Well, a YouTube user has utilized AI to not only form an ending, but added The Beatles as well, turning it into a “new” track from the Fab AI Four!
